Your bird needs a visit to an avian vet at once for diagnosis and treatment. Let us know how he/she is doing and what the vet says.

:My daughter's budgie Bubbles(had it for about 17 months tho it came from a pet shop so we dont know its age)for the last few months had been sleeping more than regular. Then it started spending more and more time on the bottom of the cage.It ventures up on to its perches by flying very occasionally , but seems to lose balance. When walking it staggers a bit but at other times (rarely now tho) climbd the ladder. It has always had one cripple foot but could balance....we loved it all the more for this little difference. It eats well and often but fluffs up and sleeps almost all the time. Its legs seem to almost give way sometimes. When its awake it is happy to be held and chirps at times thru the day.It shakes too when it sits.It still "looks" for my daughter when she comes to the cage moving to he.Has anyone seen this before?
