I agree with the last post....I have a male who hates fingers. When I hold him I actually curl up my fingers and just let him see the back of my hand as I move in to pet him. Once I get my digits past his sight I slowly uncurl and give him an itch. This works the best for me. I am still working with him, it just takes time. Good luck.

:Sounds like she's still a little scared of hands. It's fairly normal for her to be a little shy until she's more used to you. For all you know, she may have been teased or poked at by kids at the pet store, and learned that if she nipped, they would leave her alone. Give her some time, and work with her for a few minutes a few times a day. Try offering her treats from your hand.
