Hi, my amazon gets very nippy/biting around breeding season, but that would not seem to be your problem since your bird is so young. Have you had her checked with a vet? She may have an infection or something that is bothering her. When amazons are feeling out of sorts, they BITE!
When we first got our bird at 5 months, he seemed fine except he kept one eye closed, and it turned out he had an infection that was easily treated.
If it turns out to be simply a behavioral problem, try contacting Sally Blanchard in the san francisco bay area. She is a very experienced parrot behaviorist and may be able to help.
Best of luck!
