thanx for the advice! like i said, i do have experience with larger birds, though mainly raptors, and know how sensitive they are. before i could sit my friends b&g, i had to spend a couple of hours at her house every day for a couple of weeks, just so that it could get to know me a bit. as with raptors, it responded quickly to pos. reinforcement (aka-food). i've had tiels and conures before, and plan on getting a large cage (like a 72"x48"x60" size from cages by design) to accomodate it. i had hoped to adopt one from a local exotics rescue group, but i figured it wouldnt be good for the bird, since i also keep snakes and such. i also have a great vet that does only avians and reptiles, so that aspect would also be taken care of. any further advice is welcome!
