I would highly recommend a Hahns Macaw. Several reasons. Hahns are in the same family as the Hyacynth, they act like the big Macaws but come in a lil package. The noises are similar just not as loud. I personally do not like the noises conures make...nope never will have one (just my opinion). They are just a great little bird. I highly recommend you do alot of reading and learning before any decision is made. Best of luck to you, whatever you decide.

:Hi. I am not a so called beginner with care of birds. I have had things like parrekeets (sp?) and bungies. I am looking for a bigger and that is more interactive. What I ultimately would like to get later on is a hyacinth macaw, but that is alittle to expensive for me. Anyways, does anybody have any suggestions to a bird that can learn to talk and will be interactive with me but isn't extremely expensive. I know that it will cost a good amount but I think maybe the small parrot area. Please let me know. Thank you for your time.
