helping bird thru moves

i am about to move into my moms house for like 6 months, then in with my boyfriend. my bird loves my boyfriend, so that move will not be to hard, but she is not used to kids, my half sisters are 9 and 13, very responsable, but when they have come to visit, the my bird (orange wing amazon) has been a little freaked out, and ideas?
and when my boyfriend visits (hes long distance for now) my bird latches on to him and wants nothing to do with me, im pretty sure its cuz she is fem. but is there any way to get her to be less like that?
