Does anyone have dogs and birds, and tips about training them to get along with each other?
I have a Spectacled Amazon which I have had for going on 23 years now. I haven't had my own dog in that time but we have lived with roommates who had dogs, cats and other birds a few times. I have an offer to adopt a cocker spaniel puppy from a friend. The puppy's mother is very good-tempered. Not sure if I should take it...
Pepita the parrot is very well able to take care of herself and I would be more worried about the dog getting its little nose removed than about anything happening to the bird!
Any suggestions?
