:I have a 7 year old double yellow head amazon. I am moving into a house that has natural gas for the kitchen stove and heating.

:Is there anything i should do for my bird to keep him safe?

:Can he not be in the house at all of just kept away from the fumes?

:how far away would be alright? DO i need to find another house?

:Thanks

I live with natural gas also. First I would have someone come in and inspect all of the lines and connections to make sure that nothing is leaking. I also have a CO2 detector which I think is very important.

Just like Humans, birds can be harmed by the gas and the CO2 if you have a problem with ventilation. Do not close the house up tight.

No need to find another home, just be careful and follow the rules. Do think about going to the expense of getting the inspection, that is the best way to go.
