question about natural gas

I have a 7 year old double yellow head amazon. I am moving into a house that has natural gas for the kitchen stove and heating.

Is there anything i should do for my bird to keep him safe?

Can he not be in the house at all of just kept away from the fumes?

how far away would be alright? DO i need to find another house?

Thanks
