Hello, new here! I have had two amazons, a redhead and a double yellowhead for about 24 years. They live together outdoors, in an aviary that I built by enclosing the area below my son's treehouse. I used welded wire, 1" x 2" on all four sides and also built a steel-framed door and covered it with same wire. This wire is available at most hardware stores. I have also made a few cages using the same wire. I cut one long piece and folded at corners and tied ends together with wire or hooks. Then I cut two pieces to use on either end. I cut out two openings then made doors using same material. One of the cages is about the same size a a piece of unfolded newspaper so that I can simply spread out a paper inside then remove sheets as necessary.
